Inside information: Erja Sankari appointed CEO of Partnera Corporation

The Board of Directors of Partnera Corporation is strengthening the company's international industrial expertise by appointing Erja Sankari as CEO. She will take up her position on September 1, 2025.

Erja Sankari (b. 1973) has over 20 years of experience in management positions in international companies. She has served as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of iLOQ Oy for the past four years. Prior to that, Sankari managed Nokia's international mobile network supply chains, Nokia's Oulu factory, and served as head of Nokia's Oulu unit. Sankari also has extensive experience serving on the boards of listed companies. She has been a member of Partnera's board since 2022 but will resign from this position upon taking up her new role as CEO.

"Erja Sankari's experience in managing and developing international industrial companies is extremely valuable to Partnera, which is transforming into an industrial player," says Jari Pirinen, Chairman of Partnera's Board of Directors.

The majority of Partnera's business comes from the Foamit Group, a company owned by Partnera that is engaged in glass recycling and foam glass business and has production facilities in Finland, Sweden, and Norway. Foamit Group's goal is to achieve 100 million euros in revenue and over 20 percent EBITDA margin by the end of 2028.

“It’s great to be able to build and develop an industrial company based on the circular economy. There is a growing international market for foam glass and glass products that reduce customers’ carbon dioxide emissions, including in Central Europe,” says Erja Sankari.

Jussi Lappalainen, who is currently acting as the company’s interim CEO and CFO, has been appointed as the company’s CFO and COO and Deputy CEO as of September 1, 2025. In addition to his role as CFO, Lappalainen will be responsible for the company's international growth and productivity development.
