Partnera – Towards a more sustainable future

Toward sustainable value creation

Partnera’s aim is to accelerate the transition to the sustainable use of natural resources and a carbon-neutral society

Impacts of business

The operations of the subsidiaries of Foamit Group are strongly based on sustainable development and circular economy.

Foamit Group Oy is a Nordic glass recycling and foam glass manufacturing company whose subsidiaries Uusioaines Oy, Hasopor AB and Glasopor AS together form one of Europe's leading foam glass manufacturers.

Foamit Group takes in and processes glass to be recycled, and manufactures foam glass from the sidestreams of glass recycling. Foam glass is a 100% recycled lightening and insulating material.

Toward sustainable value creation

Partnera’s aim is to accelerate the transition to the sustainable use of natural resources and a carbon-neutral society.

Our solutions improve recycling rates, prevent the creation of waste and decrease carbon dioxide and particle emissions. Our solutions help large, globally operating customers to achieve their sustainability targets. Partnera’s own sustainability targets are linked to the sustainable development goals of the United Nations (UN), through which we ensure our investment in sustainable development worldwide. We implement our sustainability targets in stages, and we have scheduled actions for the coming years.

Sustainability report 2024

Partnera's sustainability report presents the approach to sustainability of the company and its subsidiary Foamit Group as well as a description of how sustainability has been promoted during the year.

The sustainability report is primarily based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The information contained in the report has been produced in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting guidelines, but the report is not yet compliant with the GRI standards.

Sustainability report 2024

“Our aim is to produce value and build a more sustainable future by achieving measurable and positive impacts on the environment and society. This is why we must be aware and consider how we can be better tomorrow than we are today.”

Jussi Lappalainen, Interim CEO

UN’s sustainable development goals

We have adopted the UN’s sustainable development goals as our primary frame of reference. Partnera’s priorities and areas of focus have been selected from sustainable development goals 7, 8, 9 and 13.

Affordable and clean energy

Ensuring affordable and sustainable energy for everyone by 2030 requires investments in clean and renewable energy, such as solar and wind power, as well as fossil-free heat production. Partnera’s aim is to offer energy solutions which increase the share of renewable energy sources, waste and industry sidestreams in energy production. Additionally, energy efficiency can be increased through heat recovery and energy storage, for example.

Decent work and economic growth

Partnera is committed to sustainable economic growth, which it will achieve through both improving productivity and new innovations. This way, Partnera can improve the health, safety and wellbeing of the personnel of the companies it acquires, as well as support employees’ professional development. The Group’s aim is a return on equity (ROE) of over 10 percent and a stable dividend for shareholders.

Sustainable industry, innovation and infrastructure

Investing in infrastructure and innovations in accordance with sustainable development is a requirement for economic growth and the development of new sustainable solutions. Technological development is in a key role in finding sustainable solutions for economic challenges and environmental problems. These challenges are connected to the creation of new jobs and the development of energy efficiency, for example. Partnera’s aim is to develop industrial operations, offer sustainable solutions, such as foam glass aggregate for the construction sector, and invest in the development of clean energy solutions and new innovations.

Climate action

The warming of the climate causes irreversible damage. Through political will and different technologies, it is still possible to limit the warming of the climate to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Partnera’s aim is to develop its own business to decrease carbon footprint and offer solutions that decrease carbon dioxide emissions.

Code of Ethics

Partnera and its employees are committed to acting responsibly and ethically towards colleagues, customers, partners and other stakeholders. Partnera is committed to the UN Declaration of Human Rights, and we do not tolerate actions that infringe on human rights. Partnera does not accept bribery or corruption in any form, and does not give or receive any direct or indirect gifts or benefits which could be considered bribes.
